rainbow time

three days ago, outside our window. it was totally beautiful and it was as if the air was gold. it triggered me to pick up the camera, even if I was in my lazy Monday mood. half an hour later the sky had returned to a normal grayish dark blue colour without glow.

these are from September 2010, when I was living in Elsinore, in a park across the street from my room. the sky always looks red there and it's an especially eerie place to be at dark. at daytime it's crowded with dogs, joggers and teenagers. I prefer it red and silent.

what i ate once

this is pretty much what I'm getting to eat today; without the fresh green peppers and basil, though - these two bowls are from sometime in the spring, when budget was tight (I'm only guessing) as well. today it's with canned tomatoes, green lentils, 10 cloves of Chinese one clove garlic and about 4 shallots. I love cooking soups and stews. you can leave them whenever you want to or forget about them for hours and that just makes them better.

whenever I feel sort of blue and listen to just one song, I feel like I'm drowning in unspoiled happiness and lightheartedness. that's what I like about pop. Annie and Gwen Stefani are also pretty spot on this mood, but Kylie is like the purest of the pure.
+ she's so cute and tiny and cheerful, what's not to like.

everyone's doing it

right now I'm totally hooked on this sweet site my sweet boyfriend found.
it's called GetGlue, and is somewhat similar to TasteKid, in that it recommends stuff similar to things that you already and like/dislike. still, GetGlue is a little different: it allows you to "check-in" to the things you are doing at the moment e.g. reading a book or thinking about Obama, and the more you check-in, the more stickers you earn. huh? I thought it was this symbolic thing, but it turns out you get actual stickers. as if I wasn't hooked enough already. I just signed up today and have already made it my mission to get all the True Blood stickers I possibly can. when I've earned 20 they send them to me, free of charge. man... I love stickers...
the only downside for me is that I don't own a smart phone since it's a really handy site. I'm thinking of buying a Google Nexus, they seem alright.

I don't even know what to say about Rubber, because the trailer just says it all. I have high hopes for it and expect it to fall in line somewhere in between Blood Car and Black Sheep, which both are completely great and funny and stupid.

I feel a little differently about the Perfect Host, since I haven't seen David Hyde Pierce be as good in anything else than in Frasier (<3), but here it just seems as if Niles Crane (perhaps my favorite character(apart from Frasier(I think))) has moved away from Seattle and has become all hermit-y and quite crazy = I'm sold.

back to school

today was my first day back in school since late June, and it was pretty good. we didn't do much school related work, instead we drank coffee and ate nachos after an early exit. pictured above are the people I ate nachos with - some of the nicest people in the world - celebrating my birthday in May. I'm so glad to be back.

I snapped more photos on the way down the mountain than on the way up since it wasn't as hard on me and my legs, though my knees weren't excactly enjoying it. on the picture above you can see a little piece of the road we were walking on, which was very steep most of the time.

dear internet: change of tongue

I've decided that this blog needs to be in English from now on, for two reasons:

I'm so much better at phrasing things I'd like to say in English than I am in Danish plus I've gotten it into my head that more people might find it more interesting visiting my site if they understand what's going on here.

I'm pretty convinced that it's a good idea (right now, after three drinks) but I don't think I'm going to change all the text I've already written because, yes, I am lazy. sooo, if you're really, really anxious to know what I've been talking about lately... I don't know, ask someone, or, you know, Google.

and so, I hope you'll keep reading, my dear 3 followers, even if it's now in English. :)

i østrig v

på det første billede kan man næsten se taget på det alm, Rotmoos Alm, vi er på vej op til. det er på den

mindre top til højre. jeg var ret ødelagt af at gå så stejlt i den tynde luft på det tidspunkt, må jeg indrømme, men bjergvand og banan gav mig energi til at fortsætte. det var også det hele værd: god mad og sindssygt flot udsigt. de andre dage var ret overskyede, så vi var heldige at kunne se så langt. stedet er kun tre uger gammelt. det forrige alm lå længere nede på bjerget og blev taget af en lavine i vinter.

tager mini-pause fra østrig-indlæg for at dele ting jeg glæder mig til:

Max Payne 3 er sat til at skulle udkomme til PS3 i USA d. 1. august - Europaudgivelsen er ikke fastsat endnu - men de satser vist på at det også kommer hér i løbet af august. jeg kan desværre ingen trailers finde, men det må jeg have til gode.

Agent har endnu ingen dato, men skulle gerne udkomme til PS3 inden slutningen af i år.
jeg ved ikke så meget om det endnu, andet end at det er fra Rockstar Games, og at det bliver nogenlunde samme spilstyring som i de forrige spil. og at det handler om noget med agenter.

det er så hårdt at vente!


jeg glæder mig også til at skulle i skole igen. det er allerede næste mandag! vi skal have maskinbogbind de første tre uger, og det glæder jeg mig endnu mere til. må få lavet så meget jeg overhovedet kan nå. yes. jeg gamede med Maja og Johan i aftes, og det fik mig til at glæde mig lidt endnu mere. vi spiste pizza og fik endelig dræbt kæmpeormen i Gears of War 2 (den havde tre kæmpehjerter). selvom sommervejret ikke har været det vildeste at glæde sig over, er der heldigvis andre ting der kan gøre en sommer god.
